Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) admitted during a recent interview that she doesn’t believe her party should be chomping at the bit to impeach President Donald Trump in the next two years.

Pelosi, who presided over the House through two impeachments during Trump’s first term, argued that in 2019 and 2020, the Democrats had a solid reason for moving ahead with impeachment — and that there was no obvious reason to impeach him based on his actions in his second term.

Pelosi delivered her assessment during an appearance on the USA Today podcast “The Excerpt” with Washington Bureau Chief Susan Page, and Page asked whether she would be behind a third impeachment effort if Democrats were to regain control of the House after the 2026 midterm elections.

She said that same thing during the first three years of Trump V1.0, until the first Impeachment, then she was all for it.

Maybe she stopped drinking for a short while and was actually thinking somewhat clearly when she made the statement.
