Teen high on THC kills 6 people

Six members of the Potabathula family were killed in a devastating head-on collision when a 17-year-old driver, later found to have THC in his system, attempted an unsafe pass on a two-lane highway the day after Christmas. The sole survivor, Lokesh Potabathula, was left paralyzed and learned of his familys deaths while recovering in the hospital. Now 19, the driver, Luke Resecker, was acquitted of intoxication manslaughter but convicted of aggravated assault and other charges, receiving a 65-year prison sentence he is currently appealing. A 19-year-old boy has been convicted and sentenced to 65 years in prison for causing a crash that killed 6 people and paralyzed another. The perpetrator was high on the substance THC at the time, but is appealing the decision by the court.
