McDonald's customer who killed other patron because he wanted a $1.41 refund on a Filet-O-Fish sandwich found guilty after 20 minutes

A man will spend the rest of his life behind bars for killing an attorney at a McDonald's in south Texas after the victim tried to intervene while the defendant was clashing with employees.

Anthony Landry, 59, was sentenced to life in prison on Thursday for the murder of 46-year-old Jeffrey Limmer, the Houston Chronicle reported.

The day before, a jury took just 20 minutes to find the defendant guilty.

According to authorities, the incident began at about 6 p.m. on May 4, 2024, because Landry was upset over his Filet-O-Fish sandwich order.

The attorney couldn't just give the guy $2, defuse the situation and play the nice guy?

He's an attorney, I'm pretty sure he had $2 to spare ... or, he could've just stayed out of it ...

Defendant out on bond for hitting someone with his cane. Victim probable does not consider pushing old-guy out the door causing him to fall so wise now.

Apparently the killer order a double FiletO-Fish, and received a single.  The $1.41 is probably the difference in price.  It takes a grade-A tard to murder somebody over that.

I didn't know a double of the mystery fish was a thing.  But then I was a Whaler Guy at the BK back in the day.

Sorry, what’s the mystery about “North Atlantic White Fish”? :laughingdog:
The reason that I put that in quotes is because almost fifty years ago that is exactly what they told us to say if a customer asked what kind of fish it was.

This article about the File-O-Fish in Foodie won’t leave you feeling wam and fuzzy, but you know what? When I feel nostalgic I will still have one because it is about the only thing other than McRib that still taste the way I remember.
