Gabbard: 'At Least' 2K Afghan Refugees in US Linked to Terrorism

"At least 2,000" of the more than 100,000 Afghan refugees who entered the United States after the withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021 "have ties" to terrorism or "are known or suspected terrorists," Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard confirmed on Friday.
"I want to point back to the summer and fall of 2021 after [then-]President [Joe] Biden's disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan," Gabbard said in a televised interview.
"There were over 100,000 people who came into our country because of that disastrous withdrawal."
But, she added, "the vast majority of them were not properly vetted … anywhere near the standard we require under this administration of allowing people into our country."
