No need for a course correction. Trump's policies of correcting the damage wrought by the Biden Idiocracy will take time. I anticipate that the affects of his policy changes will be manifested in time for the 2026 election. It took the Reagan Administration 2-3 years to correct the damage that the Carter Idiocracy leveled upon America.
Finally, prices for gasoline are falling in the Atlanta metro area. I bought gas for $2.49 the other day. That is 20 cents cheaper than election day last year in November. About damn time. But that station raised its prices back up to $2.79, 10 cents higher than election day last year just days after. But I can see us trending to better prices, better everything next year. Only thing stopping us will be if we get embroiled in a war. And yes, that can still happen when one leader is literally insane. Yes, Putin is no longer with it.
I agree about taking time, because Biden (or whoever was really running things) did damage that can't be readily fixed. SOme prices are basically thee 'new normal', at least until the money supply shrinks and the dollar recovers value, something which is bad for selling our stuff elsewhere. Lots more moving parts than most people realize, economics may affect us all, but reality doesn't fit well on a bumper sticker.
Putin is reminding me more and more of Adolf toward the latter part of the war on the Eastern Front. A lot of Germans lost their lives there, either KIA or captured (only a handful of every hundred captured ever made it home). Let the Ukraine keep hitting his refineries and transport hubs, and the war will continue to suffer a loss of popularity, in spite of information controls perpetrated on the Russian people.
I would hope Trump is seeing this will have no quick and easy solution because of that, and I just don't see the Ukrainians giving in as long as they can fight. If the national memory of the Holodomor wasn't enough, the Russians have perpetrated enough fresh atrocities to keep that determination up.
Elections are forbidden by their Constitution in time of war, so the whole "Democracy" angle is BS, and Zelenskyy is not likely to quit so long as he can be effective in getting what Ukraine needs to prosecute their resistance.
