The polar vortex flooding into the US is set to deliver the coldest air on Earth to the northern half of the country, threatening millions with more dangerous winter conditions.

Both snow and bitterly cold winds are set to move across the Midwest and Northeast this week, triggering official warnings from Montana and the Dakotas to New York, Pennsylvania, and the New England states today.
 
The National Weather Service (NWS) issued winter weather advisories in 17 states on Wednesday, and forecasters compared the cold air moving down from Canada and Greenland to a 'wrecking ball.'

Tire of hearing about this so-called 'Polar Vortex'.

This terminology is used by the climate freaks to intimate it is unnatural.

It is called a Norther and it comes every year.

I would like some cold in SoCal, not freezing but cold, we have been having the damn Santa Ana winds so it has been warm and very dry, but at least the e winds haven’t been to high.

There's always somewhere on Earth that has the coldest air on the planet, regardless of season. Doesn't mean it's a record though.

The climate change propaganda con job is mind numbing sometimes.

It is, but most of us feel we never got our Indian Summer this year in the mid Atlantic region.

I think our biggest temperature swing was around 80 degrees from one day to the next. One day it was like summer and the next it was snowing!

FYI, the fastest recorded change in temperature was...
"...49°F (27°C) rise in just two minutes in Spearfish, South Dakota, on January 22, 1943. This is also recognized as a world record."

A Chinook rolled in and warmed the town up, fast.
