A Guatemalan illegal migrant has been charged after a suspected drunk-driving crash in San Diego killed an 8-year-old girl and injured several others.

Brayan Alva-Rodriguez was allegedly behind the wheel of a Toyota Tacoma when he crossed into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a Toyota Camry.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the Guatemalan national then collided with another vehicle in front of him, causing his vehicle to flip over and burst into flames.

Alva-Rodriguez and a passenger in the car at the time of the crash were both injured during the incident and were rushed to a local hospital for treatment.

Too bad he didn't have an illegal entry record.  Maybe if he had been prosecuted for entering our country illegally, this 8-year-old girl would still be alive.  When are we going to start prosecuting people for violating immigration laws?  Until we begin doing that, we get what we deserve.

We'll start once republican leadership, congressional, grows some cajónes.  I'm 78 and relatively confident I won't see it in my lifetime.  It's more likely I'll see hell freeze over.
