Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro ripped into former Vice President Kamala Harris, accusing her of spreading “blatant lies” about him in her memoir chronicling her failed White House bid.

Shapiro, once on Harris’s shortlist for vice president, flew into a fury when he learned that the former veep, in her campaign tell-all, “107 Days,” described him as arrogant, domineering and captivated by VP perks during the vetting process.

“She wrote that in her book?” Shapiro asked The Atlantic’s Tim Alberta, who highlighted the scathing passages in a sit-down interview published Wednesday.

“That’s complete and utter bulls—t. I can tell you that her accounts are just blatant lies.”

I read the original Atlantic article, which is behind a paywall.  It cuts both ways on Shapiro, while trying to make him out as a "good" guy and governor who cares about the "little people," it also reveals that he's a ruthless, lying politician just like Bill Clinton. He has also torqued off a lot of Pennsylvania Democrats, including Fetterman, who called him an a*****e, as he quickly climbed the ranks to governor, backstabbing and stomping on a lot of party leaders in the process.

He clearly has not heard of that old proverb by the great philosopher Ozzy Osbourne about being careful who you screw on the way up the ladder because they will then most assuredly screw you on the way back down.

With that said, Shapiro still is a much bigger threat than Newsom in 2028 because he's smarter and more cunning, and far more slippery, and can manipulate voters better.

After the disaster that was Tom Wolf, I suspect Pennsylvanians were hopeful that little Josh, while a Democrat, would be a substantial improvement. That does not appear to be the case.

Clearly. It was a bit of a chore to find someone stupider than Kamala to be her running mate, but they did.

Actually he is because not an outright Communist like Wolf was, but he was bad enough as AG because he sicced the Pennsylvania State Police on people and businesses that tried to defy the "regime" during COVID.  He's definitely got the authoritarian streak in him.

Yeah, that's exactly right, and he didn't deny that she slapped him down about his suggested "co-presidency," never mind the fact that was exactly what the Democrats tried to do with the "Biden-Harris" Administration.  Shapiro would have just eclipsed her because he is pretty smart and a much stronger politician.

Republicans would love to see her as the '28 nominee. She couldn't make it past Iowa in 2020 and was gifted the nomination last time while blowing through a billion plus  while Shapiro has been running shrewd campaigns since college. He went to the same university as me, albeit 10 years later. He got elected student body president after hi freshman year. That just did not happen. It was a given that it would be a rising senior but he got elected and I give him credit.
While I don't agree with his policies he did something early on in his tenure that muted his critics. There was huge fire on I-95 the main road through the city of Philadelphia that caused part of it to collapse.
We were told the road would be shut for 6 months to repair. Working around the clock, they got it open in 2 weeks.Full repairs took longer but he proved he could get things done while other dithered.
