MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell Files Paperwork for Potential Minnesota Governor Run to Unseat Tim Walz

Hannah Knudsen3 Dec 202591
3:07

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell is mulling a bid for governor in Minnesota, filing paperwork opening the door for a possible run.

The conservative spoke to the Minnesota Star Tribune about his potential bid and said that he plans to make a final decision soon — December 11, specifically.

“I am going to announce either way on Dec. 11,” Lindell said, noting he was not 100 percent sure if he will do it.

If the Minnesota GOP nominate him they’ll lose one of their best opportunities in a while to dilute the DFL stronghold in St Paul

They have time to search for a better prospect.

No way will Minnesotans put this guy in the governorship despite Walz’s problems. And his chances drop even further if Walz decides not to run again over this scandal

Well, there was Dave Durenburger, Rudy Boshwitz(sp), Paul Wellstone who was a too far left for me but a decent, honest guy, Jim Oberstar who represented the 8th district well, ect ect

Twin City Democrats are a different breed as compared to Iron Range Democrats

None of those rose to any level except Wellstone who had to die to get there.

When I think of politicians from there who made a name for themselves, I think of Hubert Humphrey, Walter Mondale, Jesse Ventura, Tim Walz, all proven losers, except the colorful and weird Ventura

Not that I can recall but it is imperative that Walz is unseated.  I can't say that Lindell will be an effective governor, but Walz needs to go.

Gee, with all those hordes of people (who just have to be Republicans, dontcha know) driving by the Walz home, yelling "retard," you'd think someone would step up to the plate.

The MN GOP has time to find a better candidate

But if Walz drops out, and he could,  then forget it. This scandal is the only shot the MN GOP has to win the governorship in MN

That's his main issue. I may agree with alot of what he says, but I don't know if he's going to convince the LIV's, doubters and complacent.

...the story that my hubby has told me is when they were living in MN, his parents were registered Republicans and those at the precincts always had some kind of reason as to why the would not allow them to vote .... so whether or not this still occurs in the very complicit state of MN, I don't know, but I'd lay odds that their voting system just may be corrupt.

You may well be right. He'd be attacked far too easily, despite the name recognition.

But he could call attention to some major issues there, and I believe he could do so effectively.

Still need a qualified and somewhat charismatic candidate.

...and to clean up the voting system there.

In 2015 the majority of 'sensible' people said the same of Donald Trump.

True, that, but Harris carried Minnesota in 2024.

While it would be nice to see things change for the better for our neighbors to the far east, (I'm over by Montana), I am afraid there is a lot that needs to happen there before that happens.  **nononono*

I have little doubt the fraud machines there are protected by politicians who get financial support from the mechanisms they protect, people who either are part of the machine or have sold their souls to it.

Some 400 + people are being said to have raised flags over the theft of funding through fraud, and were allegedly ignored or squelched by the offices that should have taken steps to stop it.
That bespeaks a well organized, well ingrained, and frankly, powerful network, however loosely organized, behind all this. It does seem they are pretty much all Democrats, but people are indoctrinated creatures of habit, and sometimes even a Divine Revelation, replete with angels and trumpets just isn't enough to shake them out of their stupor.

If the machine is that corrupt, the whole mess might have to be replaced to even get an election where native Minnesotans are represented fairly at the polls, and those who are either not eligible, dead, or non-existent are not.

Walz needs to go but it will not be with Mike Lindell

No

And if the GOP nominates Mike Lindell, they’ll blow an opportunity to loosen the stranglehold the DFL in Minnesota

The current DFL of Minnesota is not the same DFL that I remember growing up.

A republican can win the governorship. But not Mike Lindell. I hope the big wigs in the Republican party offers him something to convince him not to run
