Excerpt:
Republican strategist Scott Jennings has never been one to sugarcoat the stakes, and his recent chat on CNN’s “State of the Union” was a stark reminder of why sleep is a luxury the GOP can’t afford right now. When asked what keeps him up at night, Jennings didn’t hesitate: “Losing elections. The biggest danger to momentum is losing the next election.” He laid out a grim roadmap of what happens if Democrats claw back power—impeaching Trump again, nuking the filibuster to ram through their agenda, packing the courts, and turning D.C. and Puerto Rico into states for a permanent blue lock. “If they win in ’26 and ’28, they will do a lot of terrible things in a very, very short period of time,” he warned.

No one can convince me that John Thune and Mike Johnson don’t know this to be true.

I am convinced they are anachronistic, completely detached fossils - yes, despite not being all that old, at least compared to true zombies like Mitch McConnell - who live forever in 2012 and cannot imagine any of this ever happening.

I hope and pray I am wrong.

What momentum?  Trump is carrying the whole GOP on his back.  GOP Congress are worthless, useless puds.
