Who owns the stores? They set the prices, not the politicians.
All through COVID, some stores made bank while their competition was systematically strangled by restrictions. Who did that? Who eliminated vast numbers of small businesses and favored, through policy, the big ones?
All of this, including the 8% inflation of the Biden years, was done primarily by Democrats. The price hikes are there. Some will come down as supply chains are restored (look at eggs, for example), or oil, but the prices are not so much set by the sellers on publicly traded commodities, but by the bids of those who purchase the contracts for future delivery.
For much of the country, fuel prices have dropped as part of that supply/demand equation. For those of us in states with sane energy policies, prices are lower, but not in Democrat run States where regulation and taxation have rendered normal economics moot.
Without power in those Democrat/Socialist enclaves, Republicans can do very little to cause prices to drop; it is a self-inflicted wound they cannot dress.
But I can guarantee this: If Democrats regain sufficient power, they will return to the policies that made the problems we do have, and they will make them worse.
Of course, the blame will be shifted onto Republicans by the Demmedia, and only those who are really paying attention will know any better.
Best GOTV, or it's going to get a lot worse.
