DPS: 1 man, 1 Valluco gang member arrested following cocaine bust during traffic stop

EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Two Rio Grande City men, one with gang ties, were arrested following a cocaine bust during a traffic stop, the Texas Department of Public Safety said Tuesday.
Salvador Garcia, Jr., 65, and Jose Ramon Delgado III, 39, both from Rio Grande City, were arrested on charges of possession with intent to distribute more than 5kg of cocaine, according to a news release from DPS.
According to a criminal complaint obtained by ValleyCentral, DPS worked in collaboration with U.S. Border Patrol and other agencies as part of a criminal investigation.
Pursuit leads to arrest of Valluco gang member
At approximately 7 a.m. on Nov. 20, the Texas Rangers Special Operations Group conducted a traffic stop on a white 2015 Ford F-250 on U.S. 281 and Alberta Road after the vehicle allegedly failed to drive in a single lane and almost crashed into two vehicles, the complaint detailed.
