Former MSNBC host Joy Reid wondered on the "I’ve Had It" podcast whether Vice President JD Vance is planning to find a new wife to appeal to the MAGA base because she's Indian American.

Reid speculated that Vance might not be the 2028 heir apparent to President Donald Trump because MAGA supporters wouldn't accept someone like Usha Vance as first lady.

"They can't have the successor to MAGA be the guy with the Brown Hindu wife," she said of Vance. "They're also Christian nationalists. That ain't going to work. That's why he's throwing his wife under the bus. Poor Usha. Or she's in on it."

"Playing slap and tickle with Erika Kirk, it's the weirdest s--- I've ever seen," "I’ve Had It" co-host Jennifer Welch said. "She's like in her Tammy Faye era."

"Holding on the back of his head and rubbing on his head," Reid said in surprise, adding she would be suspicious if a woman held her husband like that, referring to how Erika Kirk embraced the vice president at a Turning Point event last month.

"You not doing that right thing. [You're] supposed to be a widow, you in leather pants?" Reid said of Erika Kirk. "That's not widow wear."

Erika is dealing with her grief, a comforting embrace (in view of the whole world) is part of that. Is she supposed to be wearing sackcloth and ashes in mourning for the rest of her life? Not if she is to continue Charlie's mission.

How any of that can be extrapolated into JD Vance leaving his wife and taking up with Erika is beyond my little brain, but I don't spend every waking hour trying to come up with some fiction to smear people.

Have you read Hillbilly Legacy?  I suggest you do, and don't take the shortcut of watching the Netflix abortion.  Read the book!  JD Vance is nothing like what the press likes to portray.

The book was written before he met Usha.  The key points involve the difficult relationships he had with his extended family and how his mom straightened out her very difficult life.  A very encouraging story, especially dealing with Grandma.

So, they are not of the same religion.  If you had watched one of his interactions with university students he was asked a question as to how the two manage with not being of the same religion.  JD's answer was simple; we talked about it and came to terms and both decided to raise our children as Christians.

You cannot assume @jmyrlefuller that just because there is a marriage with differences in religions or ethnicity that a marriage is doomed.

I suggest you really broaden your horizons, you just might find the love of your life.  IF you continue to try to find that 'perfect' partner, you have a few things to learn.  First of all no one is perfect and no marriage is perfect. Communication and compromise are keys to successful marriages.  Come December I will have been married for 43 years and we've been together since the night we met 45 years ago.  Am I perfect, heck no ... and at times my husband drives me absolutely nuts.  We are both very different.  Again, communication and compromise are key.
