TLDR:

House Oversight Chairman James Comer threatens contempt charges against Bill and Hillary Clinton over Epstein testimony
Clintons acknowledged having information but offered written statements instead of in-person depositions
Comer rejected the offer, saying “further delays are unacceptable” and committee decides how witnesses testify
Bill Clinton appears on Epstein flight logs from post-presidency years, though no credible accusations link him to sex trafficking

House Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer is threatening to hold former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in contempt of Congress if they refuse to testify in person about their connections to deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The Kentucky Republican issued subpoenas over the summer demanding the Clintons appear for depositions. Through their attorney David Kendall, the couple acknowledged having some information but proposed providing it in written statements instead.

Mr. Comer rejected that offer Friday, saying the committee determines how it receives testimony from witnesses.

“Given their history with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, any attempt by the Clintons to avoid sitting for a deposition would be in defiance of lawful subpoenas and grounds to initiate contempt of Congress proceedings,” Mr. Comer said.

Mr. Kendall told Mr. Comer earlier this month that while Epstein and Maxwell’s actions were “abhorrent,” his clients “have little to contribute” on the subject.

Mr. Comer countered that “little” isn’t nothing and emphasized the committee’s interest in the Clintons’ personal relationships with Epstein and Maxwell as private citizens.

The contempt threat follows President Trump signing legislation requiring release of Justice Department documents related to Epstein.

Flight logs show Mr. Clinton took trips on Epstein’s private jet after leaving office in 2001. No credible accusations link the former president to Epstein’s sex-trafficking activities.

It will just be a continuous "I don't recall" from both of them?

Brings to mind the "my mind's in a blender" parody that Rush Limbaugh did of Hillary.
