Dr. Mehmet Oz, the administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), said Sunday the Trump administration is holding “discussions” on extending subsidies offered under the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

“There are discussions around extending the subsidies, if we deal with the fraud, waste and abuse that, right now, is paralyzing the system,” Oz told host Dana Bash on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

A lady that does some work for us had Obamacare.  She was paying $175 a month for insurance.  Without the subsidies she'll be paying closer to $700, which she can't afford and therefore won't have insurance.  Can we just throw people under the bus when they've been depending on it for years? And how would that work?  The subsidies were supposed to be temporary in the first place, but now the democrats want them extended permanently.  Any phaseout would simply be extended and extended until they were effectively permanent.

Very true....   BUT....   All of the people who had insurance under Obamacare and there are millions of them, will vote democrat if the dems promise to offer them free/cheap healthcare.  Sadly that's the brutal truth.

I think that is true. And the Dems will put them on Medicare or Medicaid and crash the system...or retirees will have to pay for them.
