President Trump announces $2,000 tariff dividend for almost everyone in America

Commodore Vanderbilt

Nov 9, 2025

Money, money, money!

While Trump is arguing for his levying of tariffs at the Supreme Court level, the President has decided what he wants to do with that money in the mean time.

This morning, President Trump announced a $2,000 dividend for all Americans from the tariff surplus.

When SCOTUS throws 47's tariff regime back in his face, will we have to repay the $2K?

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to selfishness; From selfishness to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage.” ― Alexander Fraser Tytler

  • I was a "conspiracy theorist". Now I'm just right.
I don't like it.

Just pay down the debt and don't send out 'free money'.

Me either. I've agreed with Trump on most things, but this is a negatory.

Trump promises $2,000 check for every American thanks to tariff revenue he's collected

Daily Mail
By ELIOT FORCE
9 November 2025

Donald Trump has vowed to give a $2,000 check to every American, thanks to the tariff revenue his administration has collected.

The president made the exciting announcement on Sunday morning - blasting those who hated on his tariff strategy as 'fools'.

He said that the dividend of at least $2,000 would be paid to everyone, bar 'high income people,' although he did not state what the threshold for that would be.

The president also generally lauded the state of the US, calling it 'the most respected country in the world'. He said there is 'almost no inflation, and a record stock market price'.

Trump cited 'trillions of dollars' of tariff income and said the money would soon go to paying the country's 'enormous debt' of $37 trillion.

The Truth Social post comes after the Supreme Court questioned the legality of his use of emergency powers to impose tariffs on almost every country in the world - allies and enemies alike.

The US collected around $151billion in tariff revenue between April and October, according to the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said he expected the US will collect at least $500 billion in tariff revenue per year.

Why is it that whenever a politician or party gets into trouble with voters, we get “promises?”

I heard this months ago.  It never came to fruition.
Live in  harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.

It is a stupid idea and it was STUPID of Trump to ever say it.
"FREE MONEY!" necessarily creates inflation.

Every time this happens, prices jump by whatever the amount given is.
$300, everything you want goes up by $300. $2000, same thing.
Stupid nonsense.

No mystery here.  The drunk on their power Supreme Court is considering undoing all that Trump did with tariffs.  So, what better way to knock them off their high horse than promise something to the electorate?  The whole of America will want to string them up to the nearest vertical if they vote against the tariffs.

Frankly, I am tired of the judicial branch over extending their say in things done by the Trump executive branch of government.

So, contray to the Dems wanting to expand the court, I say cut it back to 5 members of the Supreme Court.  Cut the rest of the federal judges back 40%.  If they keep bringing lawsuits against the Trump administration, they have entirely too much time on their hands!   PERIOD!

Prices keep rising, and he's getting desperate to undo the damage from the tariffs.  Yesterday he proposed a 50 year mortgage to make housing affordable.

Oh great.  The Fed will print up another $700 billion in fresh money (adding to both the debt and inflation) just so people who don't even work can get 'free' cash.

You can't have a dividend when you are in the red $2 trillion.  Dividends only happen when there's money left over.

Never heard of cutting back the USSC... how could you cut back sitting justices? USC says they have to be impeached. Sounds like a constitutional crisis in the making.

Bravo for an original idea though.

Let vacancies go unfilled.  When a Justice retires (or dies), don't  nominate a replacement.

You should know your history, it might help you.

According to Google:

Yes, the number of justices on the U.S. Supreme Court has been "cut back" (reduced) by Congress multiple times in history.

The size of the Supreme Court has fluctuated since its inception, with Congress using its constitutional power to change the number of justices in response to the needs of the growing nation or for political reasons.

Notable instances of the court's size being reduced:

Judiciary Act of 1801: Reduced the number of justices from six to five, to take effect after the next vacancy. However, this law was repealed before any vacancy occurred.

Judicial Circuits Act of 1866: Reduced the number of justices from ten (its historical high) to seven, in part to prevent President Andrew Johnson from making any appointments. The number of justices temporarily dropped to eight before the court was reset to the current nine in 1869.

The number of justices has remained at nine since the Circuit Judges Act of 1869.

Now while it has been Congress playing with the numbers, it could be successfully argued our Congress is non-functional and not worth a good spit.

Trump could end up a lame duck, I say he should go out blazing, showing down our worthless do nothing Congress.  Literally worthless.  They abdicate their job daily.  DAILY!!!!!!!!!

One of their prime responsibilities is putting an annual budget together.  Last year, they delivered a budget 10 months after the start of the fiscal year, and we are still paying these clowns.  How about a rule that says, if Congress fails to present a budget one month prior to the start of the fiscal year, they are all forced to face re-election!!!  You think these do nothing clowns would be dicking around ten months past the start of the fiscal year?  Hell no!!!

I never met a lawyer worth a good BM.  No joke, and I have worked with many of them.  Their degree gets them elevated to positions they are fully INCAPABLE to perform at.  Every last one of them I have worked with.  These b*stards conduct insider trading, become rich over night, and that is just fine.  Well, it is not fine with me.  They are all corrupt, every last one of them.  I have zero respect for lawyers, and they control all three branches of government, things are f***ed up beyond recognition, and the passive electorate are worried about surviving to the next day and do not place the blame where it belongs.  No, they want ot blame a man in office for months, while the clowns in Congress have been office for decades.  Uggh.

And the Democommies have not done anything for the middle class ever that I recall in my 72 years.  Nothing!  But their empty rhetoric has half the country fooled.  We are truly a dumb people in this nation, and I am tired of it.

No wonder so many people when they get older look forward to death, they just can't stand the b*llsh*t any longer!!!!!!!!!
