James Carville Would ‘Bet Money’ Dems Win Presidency In 2028, Pack Supreme Court

Emboldened by Tuesday’s encouraging election results, veteran political strategist James Carville said he would “bet money” that Democrats will not only win the presidency in 2028, but then proceed to pack the Supreme Court to ensure permanent one party rule.

While taking questions during Thursday’s installment of he and co-host Al Hunt’s “Politics War Room,” one listener asked how the Biden Administration could have prepared for “the possibility of Trump winning a second term.”

While Hunt argued in favor of new legislation and guardrails, Carville gleefully predicted that the next Democrat president will fundamentally redefine American government.

“I’m going to tell you what’s going to happen. A Democrat is going to be elected in 2028. You know that. I know that,” he said. “The Democratic president is going to announce a special transition advisory committee on the reform of the Supreme Court.”

“They’re going to recommend that the number of Supreme Court justices go from nine to 13. That’s going to happen, people. That’s going to happen to you. They’re going to win. They’re going to do some blue ribbon panel of distinguished jurists, and they are going to recommend 13, and a Democratic Senate and House is going to pass it, and the Democratic president is going to sign it, because they have to do an intervention so we can have a Supreme Court that the American people trust again.”

The ex-Clinton strategist went on to declare that he would “bet a-lot of money that’s what’s going to happen. A-lot.”

I’ve spent the last two days looking at all these races across the country to kinda get a feel of what happened and it was absolutely devastating for the Republicans

The MAGA base is nowhere near enough to overcome the voters that went democrat this time.

I would not dismiss what James Carville is saying here.  And the idea that they would expand the court would probably be unpopular with the voters at large but at that point once it’s done,  it’s done.

It would benefit you greatly to expand your sources of information beyond only that which  agrees with your worldview

Only getting your information from sources that are stamped and approved by the Trump administration will hardly make you an informed person

What happened Tuesday, I saw coming. I just didn’t expect it to be so devastating.

Too many here believed that Donald Trump was popular, inflation was dropping, and the Democratic Party was dead, and everybody was leaving it in droves. Tuesday night debunked  all that.


Whenever I would post articles that would say otherwise, along with evidence of the Democratic Party improving upon their vote totals from 2024 and even flipping districts that voted for Donald Trump, people like you would simply attack the source, laugh, or call me a Democrat or a leftist


Abigail Spanberger, for example, made gains in just about every voting constituency, except for the far right MAGA base. She held her base and expanded it.


I would not dismiss anything that James Carville is predicting here so readily. And I know you believe in your heart of hearts that when Democrats win,  it’s only because of cheating, but guess again.

So while the Republican base was cheering on Donald Trump’s tweets and attacking a 20-year-old autistic girl across the world who can’t even vote in our elections, Democrats were working on winning elections. Either winning over or making gains with groups that voted for Donald Trump in 2024.

The loss of Hispanic voters and generation Z is a huge blow to the Republican Party. There’s just not enough of you to help them win elections.


I know it’s comforting to convince yourself that it was due to low turnout, it was just Democrats only out in good numbers, and  it was just blue areas maintaining their blue status ect ect. I’ve seen all the excuses.

But the facts just don’t back any of that… Sorry
