Trump loyalists fume at 'scumbag' Republican for paving Mamdani's path to victory

Donald Trump’s most loyal New York City supporters are thrashing the Republican mayoral nominee after 34-year-old democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani took control of the Big Apple.

Republican Curtis Sliwa received approximately 7 percent of the vote while former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo came in second with 41 percent support.

Prior to the election, the president issued a statement on Truth Social urging his supporters and Republican voters to back Cuomo, who was running as an independent.

‘A vote for Curtis Sliwa ... is a vote for Mamdani,’ Trump wrote. Prior to election night, Republicans urged Sliwa to back out of the race so that opposition to Mamdani could be consolidated around Cuomo.

Sliwa, however, bucked calls to drop out despite trailing way behind in the polls. Trump’s supporters are now blaming the 71-year-old for Mamdani’s victory on Tuesday evening.

‘Hey Curtis, you’re a f**king scumbag like I said all along! You bleep got 8% of the vote. You split the bleep vote,’ said David Rem, a vocal New York Trump advocate.

‘You were a scumbag! I hope every New Yorker spits in your f**king face every single day. You f**king sold out like Judas sold out Jesus! Go bleep yourself!’

Other flamboyant New York Republicans were to quick shift the blame towards Sliwa, including the city’s pardoned former Rep. George Santos.

Since you don’t exceed Mamdanis numbers by adding together the numbers received by Cuomo and by Sliwa, the premise is false.  Sliwa did not get Mamdani elected.   Cuomo and idiotic virtue-signaling NYC liberals got Mamdani elected.

But without Sliwa it would have been a different election. May be just wishful thinking. We will never know, and it does not matter now anyway.
