That would be my biggest fear. At the very least wear jeans with legs covered and boots. When I used to hunt in west Tx I would never have gone out in shorts and tennis shoes. But she is a city girl, after all.

In all my time in the Mohave, it was jeans, log sleeved but loose fitting shirt, and really good, high boots. Don't reach over/around/under anything you can't see, and better yet, at least 'adopt' a walking stick/staff for the trip.
