Socialism And The Demise Of The Democrat Party
By Steve McCann

With Zohran Mamdani’s ascension in New York City, Bernie Sanders nearly capturing the Democrat presidential nomination in 2016 and 2020, and the rapidly expanding number of Marxist-indoctrinated candidates and elected officials, socialism—or its latest euphemism, “Democratic Socialism”—is now the dominant philosophical underpinning of the Democrat party. This is a philosophical capture that will not result in transforming the United States but in the fracturing and demise of America’s oldest political party.

Socialism has been ruinous everywhere it has been tried, yet the emerging leadership of the party is just the latest in a long line of true believers throughout the world who are convinced they are so exceptional that they can succeed where so many before them have failed. Their naiveté oozes from every pore as they mindlessly rail against capitalism and tout the illusory benefits of socialism.

Why has socialism failed everywhere it has been tried despite the die-hard true believers’ best efforts? The vast majority of the proponents of socialism consistently fail to recognize that it is doomed to failure, as it is nothing more than a vehicle to seize power by malevolently manipulating human nature.

The most dominant trait that mankind shares, as do all living creatures, is an innate determination to survive and thrive. This is a trait that has been exploited since time immemorial by those with an uncontrollable need to conquer or maintain control over their fellow man.

Socialism tries to substitute the material for the spiritual. It says I must work to support the collective while my lazy worthless buddy won't, but gets to share the fruits anyway, while the elite upper crust does the same crap they claim the capitalist pigs are doing.

It expects a continuous giant leap of faith and unending altruistic serfism to your grave, and you never get to question your corrupt gods as perfectly analogized in Animal Farm.

The whole thing is nothing but a giant bait-and-switch flim flam job.
The Republic is lost.

I put it more simply, socialism defies human nature.

:bingo: And capitalism is the natural order of things just as Adam Smith said.
"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

"The Demise Of The Democrat Party"?  Sounds like wishful thinking.

Mr. McCann's presumption:
"Socialism And The Demise Of The Democrat Party"

I would like to accept your premise, but I don't believe that what you call "socialism" (which is REALLY marxism) is going to hasten the demise of the [now misnomered] "democratic" party.

When we consider the emerging "new demographics" of America (how many of those illegals and "refugees" are REALLY going to be sent back?), the new socialism may become the spoonful of sugar that entices the population to swallow down the bitter elixir of communism.

Mr. Trump provided a respite for America, similar to the "renaissance" that Giuliani created in New York City almost thirty years ago. But as we see New York going today, once Mr. Trump is gone his own American Renaissance (polite cough) may begin to fade as did Rudy's before...
