An explosive device was intentionally detonated Saturday morning on the fourth floor of the Goldenson Building at Harvard’s Longwood Medical Campus in Boston, Massachusetts, according to a statement released today by the Harvard University Police Department to The Harvard Crimson.
The Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) reports that explosion occurred shortly before 3:00am, with a responding officer observing two individuals fleeing the building. The Boston Fire Department Arson Unit responded to the incident and determined the explosion to be intentional, while sweeping the building and finding no other devices. HUPD is actively investigating the incident with local, state, and federal authorities, including the FBI.
