Bill Gates Walks It Back: Disaster Isn’t Imminent
18 hours ago Charles Rotter

There’s a curious smell in the air when a movement shifts its tone. It’s not ozone, and it isn’t coal—call it humility cut with narrative damage control. Bill Gates, the technocrat-in-chief of climate alarm over the past decade, just told the world that the apocalypse is, well, off schedule. He didn’t use that phrasing, of course. But in a new pre-COP30 message, the billionaire who popularized the phrase “climate disaster” has traded in catastrophe rhetoric for calm talk about welfare, adaptation, and priorities.

The money quote everyone will remember isn’t about “stopping” anything. It’s this: climate change is “not civilization-ending.” That’s Reuters summarizing and quoting from Gates’s own blog post published on October 28, 2025, in which he urges leaders to stop using temperature targets as the only scoreboard and to focus on human welfare—health, energy access, and agricultural resilience—instead.

That’s not the tune from 2016. Back then, Gates told the world we needed an “energy miracle” to prevent catastrophic climate change. The World Economic Forum captured his language succinctly when it reported: “the world needs ‘an energy miracle,’ and [Gates and Melinda] are willing to bet such a breakthrough will arrive within 15 years.” The headline: “Bill Gates: We will have a clean-energy ‘miracle’ within 15 years.” Here’s WAPO’s contemporary take

Bill Gates is neither a Nostradamus nor an Einstein.  He's a money whore and would say the Mississippi River will dry up next year if he thought he could make money at it. *look*

Someone last night - Jesse Watters, perhaps - said if Trump no longer were president and J.D. Vance was, and Vance said anything that sounded even remotely pro-climate change, Bill Gates would change his tune in a hurry. "I was mistaken when I thought I was mistaken! The climate disaster is coming and we're all gonna die!!"

Bill Gates sees the light on global warming — but will lefty climate warriors follow suit?

Suddenly, Bill Gates is admitting that climate change won’t lead to “humanity’s demise” after all.

Now he tells us, after he long joined other climate alarmists in warning of “disaster,” as the West burned trillions on “decarbonizing” and steered economies toward the stone age.

The “doomsday view” that “cataclysmic climate change will decimate civilization” is “wrong,” the Microsoft co-founder writes; people will “be able to live and thrive in most places on Earth for the foreseeable future.”  ...

Too bad Gates has spent the last four years effectively endorsing the left’s efforts to makes Western nation aim for “net zero” carbon emissions — a quest that kills prosperity and spreads misery.

Western Europe, in particular, has hamstrung itself with foolish efforts to depend on wind and solar power; Germany even shuttered its nuclear plants, and so saw its economy contract in 2024 for the second year in a row.  ...

If some rich ba$t@rd thinks it's a good idea, let him spend his own money, not mine.

Anyone with a basic understanding of energy supply and demand could see that the Global Climate Change nitwits were shrinking supply as demand still rose.

Now, stupid Western nations are experiencing energy deficits that threaten their economies and national security - just as the Chinese Communist Party hoped they would.  That's why they sold us cheap solar panels and wind turbines - to hasten the West's demise.

When John Kerry and Al Gore approach you with a 'great idea', run the other way as fast as you can ... after kicking them in gonads.

Bill Gates is suddenly skeptical: pivots away from climate doom and renewables
Banker rats jump ship. Net Zero.sinks.

Yet another climate change heavyweight abandons ship
It’s the beginning of the end of the renewables fantasy, but there will be no apology — no admission they were wrong, or that thousands upon millions of people have suffered because of climate sorcery.

Watch as the billionaire who lectured us from private jets, pivots into word salad. Now he says we still have to solve climate change (whatever that means), but the doomsday view is wrong, and that awful carbon pollution “will not be the end of civilization.” He’s suddenly turned into a kind of Bjorn Lomborg. Forget Mitigation, say hello to Adaptation.

On the cusp of COP30 in Brazil, Bill Gates has launched a life raft for his reputation —  a 17 page memo called Three tough truths about climate.

Bill Gates can see what’s coming (a reckoning for the renewables debacle), and he is repositioning himself so he doesn’t go down with the ship. Indeed, he’s almost writing an escape plan for the whole Blob. In a nutshell, he’s admitting between the lines that wind and solar power are unaffordable, and since climate change won’t actually be that catastrophic, everyone should calm down while we invent technologies, and in the mean time, get back to stopping people from starving. Wouldn’t you know, he says “Health and prosperity are the best defense against climate change.” (That’s Truth #3 ).

What he’s not saying is that he and his friends wasted untold billions (maybe trillions) of dollars of our money installing wind and solar panels which aren’t very good. He is not joining those dots.

We still need that breakthrough mythical technology to save us from the climate monster.

While some may be tempted to applaud Bill Gates for finally seeing the light, the reality is that he inflicted untold damage on society and an entire generation. His relentless fear mongering convinced millions of kids (and plenty of impressionable adults too) that “climate change” was an existential threat. Trillions were wasted on climate gimmicks, and trillions more were siphoned off by NGOs and grifters, all at the expense of the world’s poor and the causes that actually mattered. It was, and remains, a hoax of historic proportions. Gates shouldn’t be allowed to quietly move on from the devastation he helped cause. He should be shunned into eternity. At the very least, it’s some consolation that his ties to China are finally being investigated.*

F**%# Bill Gates.
Live in  harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.
