Dems reject union calls to end the shutdown

House Democrats on Tuesday rejected calls from a federal workers union to end the government shutdown by passing a continuing resolution.

Responding to the request of the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), Minority Whip Katherine Clark, D-Mass., blamed Republicans for their unwillingness to negotiate, The Hill reported.

I have no idea.  Until now it never mattered, but that big Union never got told fvck you in such stark terms before.  My best guess is they and the Democrats will patch up their relationship well before the next election and the Union will be voting in line with the Rats.
