Goodbye, Big Apple?

Goodbye, Big Apple?
The latest polling suggests that Zohran Mamdani is on his way to becoming the next Mayor of New York City:

In the most likely three-way race, the Queens assemblyman trounces ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo by nearly 20 points, 46.7% to 28.6%, with GOP nominee Curtis Sliwa in a distant third with 16.2% of the vote.

Roughly 8.5% remain undecided, according to the poll.

“It would come as a major surprise if anyone other than Mamdani is elected mayor of New York City,” the polling outfit said.

In an extreme instance of the polarization that typifies our public life, many New Yorkers will consider leaving the city if the socialist bigot wins:

It also shows that nearly 40% of voters believe that Mamdani would be a threat to New York City’s future.
26.5% of those surveyed said they would consider leaving NYC if Mamdani is elected. https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2025/10/goodbye-big-apple.php

Considering all that plagues NYC I think I would have fled long  ago.
Live in  harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.

Another Dearborn, MI.  What city is next?  Then what city?  We have a serious problem, these people are getting voted in.  We have Omar, and AOC, Abdullah Hammoud (Dearborn mayor) .... I read a disturbing article ... for every Omar and AOC or Abdullah that is voted out or thrown out, there are plenty more lined up to replace them.

Keep in mind that NYC is pretty darn big and significant; it was the heart of America for years.  It's going to change.

Take a look at the UK right now, and Denmark -- they've been taken over once city at a time.  It WILL happen here if we are unable to find a way to keep the Hammoud's and Omars from winning elections.

Obama was just the catalyst and to think that people were naive enough to vote for him twice!!!

I don't doubt it.

Call to prayer 5 times a day. Prayer rugs facing Meca in the streets blocking traffic.  Welcome to New Yorkistan.  Bigger and better than Dearborn or Somaliland but with more terrorists.  Where the Jews are targets and the police are Sharia.
You don’t become cooler with age but you do care progressively less about being cool, which is the only true way to actually be cool.

Yes, it is that serious. Jews are targets?  How about Christians in general will be targets...that's their end game. What city is next?  The police are Sharia; we cannot allow that to happen.  Each state needs to safeguard itself against Sharia law.  Although I believe that the Feds should have limited power, perhaps this is a time when they need to step in.  Lawsuits and all the bleeding heart liberals will fight to keep Sharia -- Sharia does NOT supersede the Constitution so having law enforcement enforcing Sharia law is not only problematic but unconstitutional.  However, who is going to do anything about it??

We cannot get to the point where Muslims are offended and American citizens are penalized or punished.  That scenario is coming I'm afraid.  All out war?  Muslims have a strong foothold in just about every state.  They took over Dearborn, taking over NYC needs to be nipped in the bud before it's taken over. There's got to be some sort of law, that will  prevent the azzhat mayor from qualifying to becoming mayor.

This is frightening.  I predict Chicago or Detroit will be taken over next.  Imagine both Detroit and Dearborn having Muslim mayors...Michigan would be the first state to be taken over or at least have Sharia law dictate and the populace punished for offending Muslims.

Having lived in New York, I can attest there are people in NYC who believe you step off the face of the earth to go beyond the city limits.
