The arrest of an Alabama woman who wore an inflatable penis costume to a No Kings protest has blown up into a debate about free speech.


Jeana Renea Gamble, 61, faces misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after the incident Saturday in Fairhope, Alabama.

 
Police arrived after receiving complaints about “traffic hazards in the area,” Fairhope police said in a Facebook post Monday. An officer saw a woman wearing a “phallic costume” and asked her to remove the costume, “deemed obscene in a public setting,” but she refused.

She absolutely has the right to do this. And then by that same token all of her friends, relatives ,employers, members of her church, the community in general, should be made aware of this this woman predilections. I wonder how her kids and Grandkids are going to react when someone comments to them "Your (grand)mother, dressed up as a D!CK". That video needs national attention.

Slippery slope, then why can't perverts (besides her) dress up as walking billboards of pornography ? It is free speech right ?
