On the Claman Countdown (Fox Business) just moments ago, Jeremey Tahari, age 23, announced he is entering the mayoral race in New York City as an Independent.

He is the son of Elie Tahari.

Well his father Elie was a Sephardic-Jew so one assumes Jeremy is of the faith, he is no fool having taken over as CEO of Elie Tahari, a billion dollar company at age 23. This could make the race a lot more interesting.

And from what I have read, he (the father) left Iran while the Shah was still in power, before Khomeni took over.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
