When Asked About President Trump’s Decision to Send 400 National Guard Troops to Chicago, Pope Leo

Excerpt:
In a refreshing display of restraint that’s got conservatives nodding in approval, Pope Leo XIV shut down a reporter’s attempt to drag him into American politics. When quizzed on President Trump’s decisive move to deploy 400 National Guard troops to Chicago to combat the skyrocketing crime wave, the Pontiff kept it classy and concise
Perfect response.
It appears Leo has learned his lesson, and that is to his credit. When you make a mistake, you don't need elaborate drawn out apologies. You just need to stop making the same mistake.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Not sure about other parishes, but mine has seen an increase in Mass attendance since his election.
Popeing isn't easy and I think he knows which lane to stick to.
