Newsom digs at Trump’s weight as War Department seeks to eliminate troop obesity

Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) poked fun at President Donald Trump on Tuesday, saying the president “needs to go” amid the War Department’s new changes regarding fitness.

War Secretary Pete Hegseth delivered a speech Tuesday focused on “fixing decades of decay” in the U.S. military, including the fitness of troops. Hegseth said it’s “completely unacceptable to see fat generals and admirals” in the Pentagon’s halls, and going forward, every service member will now be required to take bi-annual physical training tests.

Newsom, one of the most vocal Trump critics in the Democratic Party, reposted a clip of Hegseth’s speech while sharing an unflattering photo of Trump visiting McDonald’s in October 2024.

“I guess the Commander in Chief needs to go!” the governor said on X.

Gavin's social media team are beyond moronic. Do they think the Commander-in-Chief needs to meet fitness standards for combat soldiers? Where do they stand (no pun intended) on Democrat Franklin D. Roosevelt?

If he wants to poke fun at fat people, why pick Trump over Pritzker?

He is like a jellyroll, with layers of fat rolled into a pastry.

That appears to be his primary Dem opponent for WH aspirations.

They're also mocking Ted Cruz for having a spare tire, though I must have missed the part where he was active duty military or had anything to do with the Pentagon.  *****rollingeyes*****
If they want to criticize members of Congress who couldn't meet the fitness standards, let's start with Pelosi, Schmucky, Nadler and the lot.

With a strong reminder about their former leader Biden, the weakest mental midget and most awkward specimen who fell frequently so badly that someone had to walk beside him to get onto the chopper.
