On September 17, 2025, Dearborn, Michigan journalist and community leader Osama Siblani said in an interview with the Arab American Center for Culture and Arts on YouTube that the community is "on the verge of a great achievement" in the midterm elections, crediting the Gaza war for having pulled the Palestinian cause out of the "garbage bin." Siblani said that the victims and the price of this achievement are enormous, and this must be "built and capitalized upon," emphasizing that he deliberately used this "loaded" word to describe a situation where blood is used to build something.

He recalled saluting Hizbullah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, the resistance, and the martyrs on September 25, 2024, two days before Nasrallah was killed (see MEMRI TV clip No. 11472), saying that he is not afraid and asking rhetorically what anyone could do to him. Comparing himself to Martin Luther King Jr. and Nelson Mandela, Siblani said: "I believe that our cause is much bigger than the price we pay on the personal level."

On September 8, 2025, two intersections in the city of Dearborn, Michigan, were named after Siblani. Last week, a video of a September 9 Dearborn City Council meeting went viral when it showed Dearborn Mayor Abdullah Hammoud tell Christian resident Ted Barham that he is "not welcome" in the city after he voiced concerns about the new street name and Siblani's documented history of voicing support for terror groups.
