Why Our Systems Collapse › American Greatness
Victor Davis Hanson

America has a lot of built-in safety backups and redundancies.

But every once in a while, when tradition, science, time-tested protocols, and common sense are ignored, a fragile system utterly collapses.

Usually, an iconic event reveals how vulnerable the entire country has become, and predictably occurs when suicidal ideologies and nihilism, in perfect-storm fashion, wreak havoc.

The media, academia, the bureaucracy, and higher education can mask the dangers of their political agendas—at least until their sheer incompetence or toxicity can no longer be hidden or excused, and a predictable disaster ensues.

Take the January 4-5, 2025, Pacific Palisades fire that destroyed an entire historic neighborhood of Los Angeles. The embers had not even cooled when we were lectured that “climate change” was responsible for the historically predictable annual autumn and early winter Santa Ana winds that whip up horrific fires before the first winter rains arrive—a phenomenon documented for over two centuries.

What Mr. Hanson refrains from saying is that our systems are collapsing because they aren't run almost exclusively by white guys any more.
(as they most definitely were, back-in-the-day...)

I don't think VDH would agree with that.

Common sense is not a function of race so much as it is politics.  "Back in the day," Democrats were not far left-wing zealots as they now are, thanks to the brainwashing of public educators across America.

1.) Corruption - Washington DC, the Bush's, and the Clintons sold out America and Americans for foreign money.

2.) Globalism - The benefits went disproportionally to urban business centers while the costs were mostly borne by rural areas and hubs of manufacturing.

3,) Offshoring - Transferred knowledge-based competitive advantages, and the industries built upon them, to overseas competitors.

4.) H1-B visas - Constrained the upward mobility of working class Americans educated in American universities by forcing them to compete with foreign college graduates educated for less money overseas.

5.) Foreign Students - Most foreign students come from wealthy families that can afford to pay the full tuition rate, putting working-class Americans who can't afford to pay full tuition at a financial competitive disadvantage.

The American Goverment sold out the children and grandchildren of those who defended freedom in WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and Desert Storm to rich foreigners.  America has been for sale and Americans have been sold out by their own Government.

I hope the iPhones, Nikes, and cheaper IT workers were worth it.  America is being economically colonized, and intellectually pillaged, by foreign nations, including China, India, and Persian Gulf petro-states.

No government in the 12,000 years of modern mankind history has led its people into anything but the history books with a simple lesson, don't let this happen to you.

America systems collapse due to lack of education in basic civics by both Americans and those who want to become one.

Morality, government history and merit-based recognition/assimilation are critical to understand the Judeo/Christian form of government the Founders created.

Yes, I said that right:  we are indeed a Judeo/Chistian country and must remain one to survive as a nation.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
