Coming as no surprise to people who actually pay attention and ignore the nostrums that the Pravda Media put out, YouGov's poll comes as no surprise at all.

The more "liberal" you are (what a misnomer!), the more likely you are to support using violence to achieve your political aims. And it's not even close.

New poll from YouGov

Agree it's okay to be happy about death of political figure they oppose:

Very Liberal: 24%

Liberal: 10%

Moderate: 7%

Conservative: 4%

Very Conservative: 3%

Agree violence can be justified to achieve political goals:

VL: 25%

L: 17%

M: 9%

C: 6%

VC: 3%

Put that on a chart, and it becomes a visual Double Black Diamond ski slope, with a quarter of "very liberal" people supporting political violence, 17% of liberal people doing so, six percent of "conservatives" (shame on those 1 out of 20!), and 3% of very conservative people doing so. That is, quite literally, a margin of error number in a poll.

This isn't something that is just going to go away. There's going to be long term consequences for this mindset.

Political violence has always been a tool of the left.  And they are just nasty people in general.  If you happened to visit a grocery store in San Francisco, around 1 in 4 of the people you see would be happy if you dropped dead in the produce aisle.
