Democrats Keep Talking About A ‘Knife Fight’ And It’s Time To Take Them Literally

There’s a certain way Democrat leaders are speaking in recent days, and they’re all expressing some variation of what the party’s national committee chair said this week: Democrats “cannot be the only party that plays by the rules anymore.”

Everyone should interpret that to mean Democrats are out for blood, literally.

That’s in no way an overstatement, not least because Democrats spent a significant portion of the last election season openly fantasizing about legally murdering Donald Trump (and then ultimately shrugging when he was actually shot). There’s simply no other way to explain it.

To be sure, here’s what Democratic National Committee head Ken Martin said in full: “I’m sick and tired of this Democratic Party bringing a pencil to a knife fight. We cannot be the only party that plays by the rules anymore. We’ve got to stand up and fight. We’re not going to have a hand tied behind our back anymore. Let’s grow a damn spine and get in this fight, Democrats.”

First, it’s preposterous to claim that Democrats are in an electoral rut because they’re so nitpicky about rules or because Republicans have dominated them by cheating. To the contrary, Republicans are the ones who were still campaigning like it was 1998 after Democrats figured out how to harvest ballots from even the most apathetic, low-info voters with their mail-in and drop-box schemes. And when the party wasn’t sure that would work in 2024, Democrat election administrators attempted to keep the leading Republican presidential candidate’s name off voter ballots.

What do Dems have left to fight for?  Abortion?  Transgender grooming?  Illegal immigrants?  Criminals?  Unaffordability?

That's a good question.  They ceded the traditional left-wing issue of defending the working class to Trump, with their sneering at "clinging bitterly to their Bibles and guns" and "basket of deplorables".  But the question assumes the the Dems are fighting for their positions on issues, rather than just for their own hold on power. 

Which brings to mind Ike's remark, “If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.”   That is the modern Democrat Party to a T.

Democrats, if you really want to end these horrific events:

Stop telling people Republicans want to hurt them.

Stop comparing others to Hitler, calling them fascists, and claiming they'll put people in camps.

Stop insisting they're cutting welfare to give money to rich people.

Stop claiming parents who don't want boys in the girls' room and girls in the boys' room are domestic terrorists.

Stop spreading misinformation about banned books, as parents don't want adult content in children's libraries.

Stop telling mentally ill kids that they're in the wrong body.

Stop hiding abortion behind 'reproductive justice'.

Stop calling people racists, fascists, homophobes, Islamophobes, sexists, etc., when they disagree with you.

Stop lying about the so-called innocent illegals who haven't committed crimes being ripped from their homes.

Stop pandering to people about how we live on stolen land.

Stop pretending one more gun law will fix the problem and start admitting mental illness is the real issue.

Stop shrieking about how YOU HAVE TO FIGHT BACK because you're the only party playing by the rules.

Your entire agenda is divisive and built on lies and fear-mongering because you have nothing left to offer anymore. You've become a party that resents its own country and people, and it's dangerous.

It's long past time for you to take a moment and decide what it is you truly stand for.

I have come to the conclusion about these Democrats today.

Sometime you just need to stand back, relax and enjoy the monkey shit fight that is their party.  Although the monkey's in the zoo poo fights are more organised.
