President Trump declared war on renewable energy Tuesday, vowing the federal government will block new wind and solar projects while electricity bills across America skyrocket at twice the rate of inflation.

“Any State that has built and relied on WINDMILLS and SOLAR for power are seeing RECORD BREAKING INCREASES IN ELECTRICITY AND ENERGY COSTS. THE SCAM OF THE CENTURY!” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post.

“We will not approve wind or farmer destroying Solar. The days of stupidity are over in the USA!!! MAGA.”

If it can't be done without Government mandates and Government subsidies, it shouldn't be done.

To lower energy bills, energy needs to be generated, transmitted, and stored using the most cost efficient means available.

The Mass Save commies keep coming around asking me to switch to electric heat pump ... no effing way ... Mass has shutdown coal, nuclear, and LNG plants and not replaced their lost capacity with reliable, affordable replacements.  Mass Save is one of the state's 'Green' NGO's that gets money from state 'green' surcharges on my electric bill.

Last Fall, there was an almost revolt against State Government after the Fall/Winter adjustment to natural gas prices.  Natural Gas will naturally be more expensive in the Winter because their will be demand competition between heating and electricity generation.  The state's coverup was to have the utilities amortize the increase over the Summer months to average the cost increase over many months, instead of just one month.

It can't make it without subsidy, so cut them off.

They can't do that because governments everywhere, but mostly democrat, see themselves as the head welfare office.  If people can't afford a cell phone  give it to them.  If people can't afford a TV, give it to them.  If they aren't educated enough to make a living, give them money, a livable wage.  If they're criminals and can't get a job after prison, give them all the welfare they need.  However, all those things shouldn't be given to homeless vets, only thugs and illegals.

Agreed. If someone wants to install windmills or solar panels on his own dime, as long as they don't infringe on anyone else's property rights, give it a go.

Without mandates and subsidies, though, that seems unlikely.
