To lower energy bills, energy needs to be generated, transmitted, and stored using the most cost efficient means available.
The Mass Save commies keep coming around asking me to switch to electric heat pump ... no effing way ... Mass has shutdown coal, nuclear, and LNG plants and not replaced their lost capacity with reliable, affordable replacements. Mass Save is one of the state's 'Green' NGO's that gets money from state 'green' surcharges on my electric bill.
Last Fall, there was an almost revolt against State Government after the Fall/Winter adjustment to natural gas prices. Natural Gas will naturally be more expensive in the Winter because their will be demand competition between heating and electricity generation. The state's coverup was to have the utilities amortize the increase over the Summer months to average the cost increase over many months, instead of just one month.
