‘I don’t regret it’: Duo arrested after decapitating roommate and confessing to their alleged crime
Story by Isabel Keane • 1h

Two men have been arrested after allegedly killing their Army veteran roommate, dismembering him and scattering his body parts along a New Mexico highway.

Rainor Joiner, 23, and David Degroat, 22, both originally from Georgia, are accused of killing their roommate, 25-year-old West Virginia native Matthew McLaughlin, the Taos County Sheriff’s Office said. Joiner and Degroat have been charged with first-degree murder and other related felonies.

“I did it, I f****** him, and I don’t f****** regret it,” one of the suspects reportedly told cops after the killing, according to local outlet KOB.

There's a long-standing quasi-legal practice from the time of The Old South that once worked quite well to keep the vermin under control.

Perhaps it's time to be used again when required:

I'm okay with the post, but the rope looks a mite skinny.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

A pair of military deserters allegedly slaughtered and dismembered a member of their Army unit and dispersed parts of his corpse along a highway in New Mexico — and the one that pulled trigger said it was “not a hard decision for him.”

Rainor Joiner, 23, and David Degroat, 22, were both arrested by the Taos County Sheriff Department and allegedly confessed to murdering Matthew McLaughlin, a 25-year-old US Army veteran from West Virginia who was reported missing on July 31. ...

Joiner and Degroat allegedly had active warrants out for their desertion. It’s unclear how and when McLaughlin may have been relieved of service.  ...

Are they going to call in the FBI to investigate.
