Living in Pennsylvania, I disagree with all of this. Compared to the Communist Tom Wolf before him, Shapiro is a moderate and keeps a fairly low profile, and doesn't make very many mistakes. He may have screwed up on this though, because he's trying to suck up to the hard core libs for 2028, but this will not finish him, not by a longshot.
He's a shoe-in for re-election in 2026 because the Republicans here are all backstabbing morons and can't get their collective act together. And IF the Democrat Party, and that's a big IF, can get past all this antisemitism that's emerging from its Communist base, then he is very much a threat for 2028. Shapiro's a very smart guy, and it would be foolish to disregard or write him off in terms of his future political career. At the very least he will likely succeed John Fetterman.
