Got an extra payment from Social Seccurity Today...What's up with that?

Just over 10% of my normal benefit amount, and I knew nothing about it until a friend told me he had received one.

Did I miss something? What's up with that?

Couldn't find anything on the interweb about regular SS payments.  It dis say that People getting SSI are getting mo money.

Yeah, I scoured their website and the web and couldn't find anything either. I just get my regular benefits, never worked in a government job, and while I am still working, those regular benefits pay the bills well above poverty level. Which is why I was wondering what's up.

Do you have a SS account online...all your info is there and will tell you why your amount if different.
