Excerpt:
A deadly shooting inside a Kansas City gas station has sparked intense debate after prosecutors labeled the double homicide a case of self-defense—despite security footage that some say tells a different story.

The incident, which left two brothers dead, unfolded when 27-year-old Emanuel Hernandez entered the gas station and got into a verbal altercation with Byron Garrett, 35, and Taylor Garrett, 32.

“Later released on bond!!!!” Are you kidding after killing 2 brothers???
When I took the concealed carry class, I'm pretty sure the instructor was adamant that you can't shoot someone for smacking you.

  • Ah, the air is so much fresher here...
Guy was an idiot to throw a punch, but punch and run does meet the bar of self-defense with a gun.

From the video looks like the brothers might have some bullets in the back, and that should end it right there.

  • I was a "conspiracy theorist". Now I'm just right.
I have the feeling there is may be some back story there, and that the police may know the deceased from other incidents.

Shooting fleeing suspects is kinda sketchy for me as far as 'self defense' goes, but they may have been running to get a gun to carry on the altercation, too. Without audio, it's hard to say whether it is a good shoot or a bad one.

(needs context or something like that... )

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
