In a lot of ways, Drones are the new Battle Field Tank.  It is amazing how lethal they have become in such a small period of time.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.  Note:  Posts may also be allegorical in nature, and not literal.

Drones coupled with artillery rule the modern battlefield now.  Main battle tanks have become obsolete, and can only be used like capital ships, with supporting troops armed with anti-drone weapons.

I guess the future is EMP (Electromagnet Pulse) .... Where you just fry all electronics (not covered with a metal cage)...

We got rid of Battleships too.  Obsolete, now just big targets for missiles.

Which might make the old tanks valuable assets. No electronics to speak of. Won't be killed by their own EMP.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
