New Details Emerge In Messy Biden Divorce

New details have emerged about the messy divorce afflicting Ashley Biden, the only daughter of Joe and Jill Biden who filed for separation from her husband earlier this week.
Grainy images, taken from a distance, purport to show Ashley’s longtime husband walking hand-in-hand with a woman with blonde hair in a strapless black dress.
“My husband and his girlfriend holding hands,” the Biden daughter posted on her Instagram page this week next to a heart emoji.
The reel was quickly taken down, but it says volumes about the former first daughter’s dysfunctional marriage to plastic surgeon Howard Krein. Although it’s unclear who was in the photos — both figures had their backs to the camera — Ashley’s comment elicits all the vitriol she feels toward her estranged husband at the moment.
Ashley, 44, filed for divorce from Klein this week after 13 years of marriage. Legal filings obtained by the Daily Mail show that she is requesting spousal support as part of the proceedings.
Legal costs have left her “unable to sustain herself,” Ashley’s lawyers contend.
For most of their marriage, Ashley and Klein, 58, lived together in Philadelphia. Klein is a longtime otolaryngologist and plastic surgeon at the city’s Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
Reporters with the outlet witnessed food delivery to the couple’s $1.3 million home, where Ashley appears to be hiding out while news of her divorce ricochets through Washington, D.C. Her best friend, Mechelle Lavelle, was seen wheeling a small suitcase into the property some time later.
In another now-deleted post, Ashley seemed to allude to divorce, posting a thumbs-up photo of herself walking through a park as a snippet of the song “Freedom” by Beyoncé played.
Documents filed by Ashley through her attorney Charles Meyer show she is asking for a no-fault divorce, describing the marriage as “irretrievably broken” and believes both she and Klein will sign affidavits consenting to divorce.
The filing confirms Ashley and Klein are “separate and apart” and that she plans to file the necessary affidavit in “appropriate time,” the Daily Mail reports.

Ashley is believed to have a net worth of around $10 million, according to Forbes. Still, she admits in court to lacking “sufficient property to provide for her reasonable needs and is unable to sustain herself through appropriate employment in accordance with the standard of living established during the marriage.”
Ashley is asking her estranged husband to pay her legal bills as part of the divorce, but elsewhere she appears to express hesitance about going through a protracted and dramatic court fight. Another filing declares she is “willing to negotiate a fair and reasonable settlement of all matters.”
