ICE arrests over 243 in Denver metro area during July operation

DENVER (KKTV) - 243 people in the country illegally were arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Denver, according to officials.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said all 243 people had been convicted or were currently charged with criminal offences after entering the United States.
Officials said the arrests occurred during an operation that ran from July 12 to July 20.
During that operation, officials said one person was arrested for murder, one for human trafficking and five for sex related offenses, including sex assault and sexual exploitation of a minor. Some were also accused of DUI, theft, assault, criminal impersonation, carrying a concealed weapon, false reporting, child cruelty, intimidation, hit-and-run, illegal entry, illegal reentry and drug-related offenses.
