The Los Angeles Fire Department said Saturday that the incident left five people in critical condition.

An incident in Los Angeles left 30 injured after a driver plowed into a crowd early Saturday morning. Victims were transported to local hospitals and trauma centers, the Associated Press reported, citing Capt. Adam Van Gerpen, public information officer for the Los Angeles City Fire Department.

The LAFD said there were three in critical condition, six in serious condition and 19 in fair condition. Additionally, seven patients refused transport. According to LAFD, 124 fire personnel assisted at the scene. The incident occurred on Santa Monica Boulevard in East Hollywood.

According to reports, a line of people, the majority of whom were women, were waiting to enter the nightclub when they were struck by a vehicle. The drive apparently also hit a taco truck and a valet stand, according to the Associated Press.

At least 30 people were injured after a car plowed through a crowd in East Hollywood, Los Angeles, authorities said.

The incident took place outside the music venue The Vermont, near the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Vermont Avenue in east Los Angeles. At least seven people are now in critical condition, six are in serious condition and more than a dozen were treated on site, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. In total 23 patients were transported.

Among the injuries, the LAFD reported a male with a gunshot wound.
 
The crash occurred after an individual was removed from a nearby business, the Los Angeles Police Department said. That person then allegedly drove a vehicle into a crowd, according to police.

Sadly most people in Los Angeles are only concerned about this story to the extent that it affects their commute.

Been way To long to get a report on the driver.  That being said I'm guessing the driver was not white.  He was Negro or a Beaner.  Being he was shot after the fact... pretty sure he was black or brown.  It is how they roll.

From what I saw a lot of Hispanics were injured.

At some point during the physical altercation, the driver was shot by a male who is still outstanding.

If I was a betting person, I would guess the shooter of the driver was probable Hispanic and probable illegal.

Now saying person that drove the car was drunk and kicked out of the club before driving into the crowd.

The police issued this description of the person who shot the driver:
“Fled the scene on foot and was last seen heading westbound from Vermont Avenue and is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, 180 pounds, bald, wearing a blue jersey, and possibly armed with a silver revolver.”

The club was having a hip/hop and Rap session at that time.... 2am
