Bondi's most grave sin in all of this is to place high expectations of swift and sure justice on the hottest of hot-button issues.
That's a PR thing.
While there may be a host of reasons to not issue any names while cases are being built, (because to fail means huge lawsuits and rolling heads all over), and perhaps to maintain leverage gained from specific intel on certain players,
the disappointment over hyped expectation is the greatest enemy she faces.
This issue (pedophilia) is the hottest hot button, the issue we can all (except perverts) agree needs to be addressed. It is the most fundamental of human instincts to protect the young of the species from any and all predators--including human ones.
Add in that it is focused on the rich and powerful (or otherwise, they'd have been flashing kids in the park), and the goal gets even more visceral.
If the FBI can chase down ordinary J6ers like it did for walking into a public building (or even being on the grounds), surely it is capable of ferreting out enough to build cases against the Island's offenders. But with reductions in force (getting rid of those most likely to sabotage or leak progress on virtually anything important), and a host of other more nationally existential problems at hand, this may be getting pushed off the front page, to get breathing room for cases to be developed and to deal with threats that exist today that are greater in scope nationally, even if those do not take the forefront in our instincts.
Keep in mind that the offenders will not escape their pasts, that ultimately, I believe that we all face that Day of Judgement before The Throne, and patience may yet yield true justice, without requiring all of the resources of a DOJ that is fighting a multifront conflict against forces of evil.
I would like to see the perp walks commence.
For all the investigating going, on I'm impatient to see defendants in the courtroom.
Actions speak louder than words.
In the meantime, the DOJ is involved in 303 active litigation cases, including those at SCOTUS where a run of wins has been going on.
https://www.lawfaremedia.org/projects-series/trials-of-the-trump-administration/tracking-trump-administration-litigationWhile it is at the forefront of our hearts, and doubtless is difficult for those who were victims*, there is a lot else going on.
*Keep in mind that for those who have overcome this part of their past, who have moved on and would like to forget it, this might involve reopening wounds that they would prefer be left alone. Those victims might not want to come forward and testify, especially considering the power wielded by those who were perpetrators, and that's without considering any 'hush money' deals made in the interim. I would wager that no two victims would react the same to the situation being revealed. Some might write salacious tell-all books, others will desperately seek the cloak of anonymity, just wanting that past to fade away. Ultimately, there a lot more moving parts involved than just those who broke the law and the law itself.
