Meteorologist Joe Bastardi: Real time rapid Ocean warming can not be from CO2 – ‘Increases in geothermal activity precede the rise in temperature’

I watch this stuff all the time, and I suspect others in my field do not. When I bring up the topic of geothermal input, they say there is not enough information to support my contention. That response stems from what my professor, Dr. John Cahir, once said: we know next to nothing about the oceans.
However, there is not enough information to deny it either. If you are like me and have been watching this closely, you know something has to be going on. For the past 30 years, I have observed sudden hot spots appearing in the oceans. When they disappear, they leave the base temperature of the ocean warmer. Hydrothermal vents can eject water that is close to 400°C.
It is only recently that a geologist, Dr. Arthur Viterito, started showing me the data. Not only is there a correlation, but the increases in geothermal activity preceding the rise in temperature also indicate causation.
We have just had a classic example. A rapid jump in underwater volcanic activity has occurred southwest of Japan. Compare the sea surface temperatures (SST) from a month ago (top) to now (below)—that is an unprecedented rapid rise, occurring in response to a major outbreak of underwater volcanic activity in this area.
