The Senate on Saturday is eyeing an afternoon procedural vote to advance President Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” after two key holdouts changed their vote.

Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley (R) is the first GOP holdout to announce he will back the latest form of the bill despite previously expressing concern about deep cuts to Medicaid. Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) said she will vote for the measure to proceed, but said she will propose several amendments to change the bill.

Meanwhile, North Carolina’s Thom Tillis (R) said he would vote against the legislation on Saturday. That makes three Republican “no” votes for the bill — the maximum votes that Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) can afford to lose.

Thune on Friday noted that the schedule could still be subject to change and called the vote “aspirational” as internal squabbles and parliamentarian rulings cast doubt on its passage ahead of a self-imposed July 4 deadline.

”All of it depends on …[we’ve] got a few things we’re waiting on, outcomes from the parliamentarian. If we can get some of those questions, issues landed then my expectation is at some point, yeah, tomorrow we’ll be ready to go,” Thune told reporters.

It is still unclear whether Republicans have enough support to advance the bill and what the final reconciliation package even looks like.

Trump opted to stay in Washington to focus on getting the GOP megabill closer to the finish line. As of midday Saturday, he is at his golf course in Virginia.

The crucial weekend on Capitol Hill comes after the Trump administration received a major victory with the Supreme Court’s decision to effectively block judges from issuing nationwide injunctions.

Vice President Vance arrived at the Capitol early Tuesday as Senate Republican leaders had still not locked down the 50 votes needed to pass President Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” after more than 21 hours of voting.

The deadlock in the Senate GOP conference is raising serious questions about whether Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) will have to pull the bill from the floor, something that would be an embarrassing setback for Republicans.

Senators say that the final text of the legislation, which has been undergoing changes throughout the night, has yet to be circulated, leaving them in a state of limbo that stretched for hours into the night and then past dawn.

Moderate Republicans and hard-line conservatives in the House are expressing increasing opposition to the Senate’s version of the “big, beautiful bill” just days before the lower chamber is set to consider the legislation, a daunting dynamic for GOP leaders as they race to meet their self-imposed Friday deadline.

The Senate on Monday kicked off the hours-long vote-a-rama with members considering a series of amendments that could be make-or-break for support in the lower chamber, including changes to Medicaid cuts and tax provisions. The upper chamber is expected to vote on final passage early Tuesday morning.

As House lawmakers anxiously watch the Senate’s deliberations, they are fuming about the state of the legislation.

“On the text chains, on the phone calls, everyone is complaining,” one moderate House Republican, who requested anonymity to discuss the private conversations, told The Hill. “There’s a few little provisions people will say something positive about, but no one is happy with the Senate version.”

“It’s amazing to a lot of us — how did it get so much f‑‑‑ing worse?” they added.

18 GOP senators vote to raise taxes on millionaires

Eighteen Senate Republicans backed an amendment overnight Tuesday that would have let President Donald Trump’s 2017 tax cuts expire for the highest-earning Americans.

The measure, sponsored by Republican Maine Sen. Susan Collins, sought to raise taxes on individuals making more $25 million per year or couples who report more than $50 million of combined income. Though seventeen of Collins’ Republican colleagues joined her in voting “yes,” the Senate easily rejected the amendment to Trump’s “big, beautiful” bill during a vote of 22 to 78.

Collins’ amendment would have let the top rate revert to the pre-2017 rate of 39.6%, up from the current 37% rate. The revenue would go toward doubling the size of a rural hospital fund, which Senate Republicans have currently provided $25 billion for within the president’s tax and immigration bill.

Just four Senate Democrats, including Georgia Sen. Jon Ossoff, voted for the measure. Most Democrats opposed Collins’ amendment, arguing the boost to the rural hospital fund was not enough to address alleged Medicaid financing issues they argued would be created by passing the Republicans’ budget bill into law.

Despite weeks of hyperbole, Democrat obstruction, and days of votes and amendments to delay, the Senate reportedly has the votes to finally pass the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.

"Senators should begin to make their way to the floor and plan to be in their seats in 15 minutes," according to an alert from Senate Majority WHIP John Barrasso, R-Wyo.

Reporting has said the votes have come together and Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., says he has a deal to whip the vote on the floor.

Moment of rant: Move along IF you don't like it!
I have paid income taxes/social security/medicare since I was 13 when I got my first real job that required a SS number. It pisses me off that those DAMN illegals are getting the benefits I AND YOU have been FORCED to pay! My SS monthly benefits will be a joke, and I have to PAY for my Medicare coverage when I am forced to join at 65. I will also be TAXED on my puny SS monthly payments that I was forced to hand over to the govt!
There is something seriously wrong with our govt!
Don't EVEN get me started on the FORCED to pay Obamacare bullshit!!! That the illegals get FOR FREE!!!!
