Trump-Appointed US Attorney Attacked by Knife-Wielding Illegal Alien in New York
A previously-deported illegal alien was arrested after he pulled a knife on a federal official and threatened to kill him this week in the sanctuary city of Albany, NY, according to authorities.
The shocking incident unfolded just before 10 p.m. on Tuesday night in the capital city when U.S. Attorney John A. Sarcone III was ambushed by a stranger shortly after leaving his downtown office.
“Saul Morales-Garcia, an illegal alien from El Salvador, who entered the United States in 2021 after a prior deportation, lunged at Sarcone while brandishing a knife and yelling aggressively in a foreign language Sarcone could not readily identify. Sarcone ran to the lobby of the Hilton Hotel and Morales-Garcia stopped and still shouting in a foreign language turned and started to walk away,” the Department of Justice (DOJ) explained in a press release.
Sarcone called Albany County Sheriff Craig D. Apple from the hotel lobby before returning to the street to yell at the suspect to distract him until police could arrive and before he could harm another innocent victim.
