Moscow warned Sunday that several nations are prepared to supply Tehran with nuclear weapons, as Russia and China condemned America’s attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Dmitry Medvedev, who serves as deputy head of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s Security Council, claimed Saturday’s US airstrike — the first to use 15-ton GBU-57 “bunker-buster” bombs in combat — only caused minimal damage to Tehran’s nuclear sites, including the fortified Fordow enrichment plant.

Medvedev, who did not specify which countries are ready to arm Tehran, reiterated that the attacks would not stop Russia’s ally in the Middle East from acquiring nuclear weapons.

The statement comes as Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said he will be traveling to Moscow to meet with Putin to discuss countermeasures.

“We enjoy a strategic partnership, and we always consult with each other and coordinate our positions,” Araghchi told Russian media.

This is what happens with a tea and crumpets approach to an enemy.  This limited strike nonsense is foolish.  If you go to war with an enemy, you destroy said enemy.  You don't worry about collateral damage, you do just the opposite.  You do not limit your attack to just hard assets, you go after the people too. 

This attack will embolden Iran, not have them cowering.  Trump opened Pandora's Box, and now the Iranians will be worse than ever.  Either we jump in with both feet, or we end up in a protracted war because of our idiotic mindset of precision bombing, avoiding harm to would be enemy populations.  Utterly idiotic.

I can see Russia giving Iran a nuclear weapon if they promise to use it on Israel or the USA.  Putin is insane.  He is doing things he would never have done ten years ago.  He is not right in the head.  He thinks he is winning in Ukraine, and the fact is, Ukraine is now bombing Russia with regularlity, and 6 months to a year of Ukraine bombing Russia, and their war machine ability will be dramatically reduced.

Trump is under the delusion that his attack the other day is it, that is all we will need to do.  Hopefully he is right, but that is not the mindset of these whack jobs.  Until Iran is levelled and their leadership surrenders, we have a real war on our hands.

Nonsense. This is all just more Russian meaningless blather. If Russia gave nukes to Iran, Iran is just as likely to use them on Russia itself as anywhere else. Iran gives a nuke to some Islamist group. That group gets a bomb to Chechnya or some other Islamic group in Asia. And then we can all say goodbye to Moscow. Iran could also use the weapons against Saudi Arabia, Syria, or anyone else.

Iran is 'at war by proxy' with the entire world. Giving Iran nuclear weapons would be like giving a chimpanzee a hammer. Who can know what they would do with it.

Russia's former president said that multiple countries are poised to provide Iran with nuclear warheads after the U.S. launched strikes against three Iranian nuclear facilities.

"The enrichment of nuclear material — and, now we can say it outright, the future production of nuclear weapons — will continue," Dmitry Medvedev, now the deputy chairman of the Security Council of Russia, said in a Sunday X post.

"A number of countries are ready to directly supply Iran with their own nuclear warheads," Medvedev said.

Medvedev did not list specific countries that might pitch in and support Iran. However, Russia historically has backed Iran's nuclear program. Russian President Vladimir Putin also offered to mediate peace talks between Iran and Israel on Wednesday.

Moscow also has offered to intervene and help negotiate a nuclear deal between the U.S. and Iran.

Moscow was involved in the 2015 Iran deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action. The agreement lifted sanctions on Iran in exchange for limits on Iran’s nuclear program, but Trump withdrew from the deal in 2018.

Pakistan would be my suspect if a nuke went off unexpectedly in Israel or any of the US military installations.  Russia may feel emboldened to use tactical nukes in Ukraine if we drop them in Iran, which is probably why bunker busters were tried first.

Pakistan seems to have good relations with the US though, and they are more concerned over Indian than helping Iran.

Yes it wouldn't be an official act, as that would be suicidal.  I'm more concerned with weapons smuggling after a period of instability.  Not sure how our invasion of Iran will play out on that part of the muslim world.

There is no way to know who Iran would attack with it or what they would use it for.

They may or may not fire it at Israel. Iran has much bigger plans than just Israel.

Identifying the source should not be too hard.

That said, the majority of Pakistanis are Sunni Muslim. Not so likely to just give the Shi'ia in Iran a nuke, because it might be used on them.
