This story could be BS too. Who really knows.
My thoughts, too. What I got from her, while cautionary, was not an apology for past actions of the US, but something to note for the future. There are many ways that could be taken, but for those who think letting Iran get the bomb or deploy it is anything but a very bad idea, it was food for thought. Not just that, but there has been a lot of loose talk about slinging 'tactical' nukes in Ukraine, or even strategic exchanges.
I think she was saying it would be a bad idea to let that genie out of the bottle, no matter who did it.
I can't disagree.
But throughout this round of Trump Administration, there has been no shortage of people who want to split up the team, who want to tear down the coalition of good minds we have working for us right now.
I do not expect them to march in lockstep. I expect them to provide their unvarnished opinions and apply the expertise they were hired to use. That may create some friction, but I think America will be better off for it.
Those who were of hive minds or the yes men of the past have done us no favors, but they want the comfort of their herd consensus back and are willing to do anything they can to reinstate it, whether that means distortion of positions taken, creating infighting where there was little or none, and driving any wedge they can between the people we have in government.
And that, friends and neighbors, is a Deep State play.
