Netanyahu doesn't rule out Khamenei assassination: 'It's going to end the conflict'

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that he was not ruling out assassinating Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in an interview with ABC News on Monday.

“We are doing what we need to do,” Netanyahu said when asked if he plans on targeting Khamenei.

When pressed on previous reports alleging that US President Donald Trump rejected Israel’s plan to target the leader of the Islamic Republic due to concerns that this would escalate the conflict, Netanyahu said, “It’s not going to escalate the conflict. It’s going to end the conflict.”

“A ‘forever war’ is what Iran wants. They’re bringing us to the brink of a nuclear war,” the prime minister said.

“In fact, what Israel is doing is preventing this by putting an end to this aggression, and we can only do so by standing up to the forces of evil,” he added.........

The primary problem is the leadership in Iran. Israel should be looking to take out all civilian and military leadership, besides everything they are presently focusing on.

Mosad has assets in Iran. I am sure they can direct bombs into the homes of the leadership via a laser LJDAM bomb.

I'm probably wrong (as usual) but I really think that The Iranian people may rise up and assist with the ouster. Unlike the Palis, they have tried before. And Elon has turned on Starlink for communication...or so I have read.

Starlink satellites don't do anything without Starlink terminals on the ground. I doubt Iran allowed many if any of those.

The Men in Iran mostly respect the steel boot of the mullahs. It gives them power over their women with some boogeyman complex.
It'll be the Women in IRAN (they have nothing to lose) that stand up and make changes.

That is fine, but the question remains: Who or what will replace him? If they continue with a theocratic government it will be more of the same. But the US can't be engaging in "Nation building" that has never worked out well for us, or that coluntry.

President Donald Trump on Tuesday called on Iran’s supreme leader to offer an “unconditional surrender” in the wake of devastating attacks by Israel that have effectively neutralized its military.

In a Truth Social post, the president urged Ali Khamenei to take his offer seriously before he changes his mind.

“We know exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there – We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now,” Trump mused.

The post comes shortly after Israel announced its initial strikes had killed the top official in Iran’s military and crippled its fleet of fighter jets meant to deter Israeli pilots from Iranian airspace. Video from the dramatic operation shows buildings being obliterated, including the headquarters for the state-run news station, while airing a live broadcast.

“But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump added.

Not officially a martyr but instead simply forgotten.

I think he is planning a 'Hitler escape'. Iran will broadcast the Khamenei has committed suicide, died in a bombing, or has been killed "fighting the Infidels!", while he secretly boards a ship or aircraft on his way to Argentina with a billion dollars in gold.

Then they will find a doppelganger (unless they say his injuries to sever for physical identification). They will sprinkle some of Khamenei's DNA all over it, and call it case closed.
