Project Runway star is KILLED at anti-Trump 'No Kings' rally in Utah

A Project Runway star was killed when a man brandished a rifle during an anti-Trump rally in Utah on Saturday.

Arthur Folasa Ah Loo, 39, was struck by official peacekeepers at Saturday's No Kings rally in Salt Lake City.

They'd spotted another protester - Arturo Gamboa, 24 - wield a weapon and point it at a crowd. The peacekeepers ordered Gamboa to drop his weapon but he failed to do so.

When Gamboa ran towards a crowd with the rifle in a firing position, the peacekeeping team opened fire on him. Ah Loo was caught in the crossfire and shot.

The fashion designer, who leaves behind a wife and two young children, later died at a local hospital, authorities said Sunday.

Police took the alleged shooter into custody on Saturday evening on a murder charge. Detectives don't yet know why he pulled out a rifle.

Ah Loo, from Samoa, recently became an American citizen and voted for the first time during the 2024 election.

He attended the No Kings march because he 'believed that everyone was deserving of basic human rights', Utah Rep. Verona Mauga told KSL-TV.

Yes just read about this one on Reddit, this is not a Trump supporter's doing. A dude was legally carrying a rifle, pointed downwards, and some "Security" for the protest (which is just rioters) blindly fired into a crowd to take this guy down. This guy caught one of the bullets, unfortunately.

Prayers up for his friends and family. This guy was collateral damage.

Just another case of Leftists assaulting other Leftists. Their rage is so out-of-control, they are so rabid with HATE that they attack and physically assault anyone, anyone at all, who they perceive to be not in agreement with their way of thinking. Their were many in the "protesters" injured by the crowd by mistake. They were assaulted just because one or more people in the crowd thought that they were secretly not, or not enough, onboard with the program. This determination is made not by facts or reason, but by their own singular personal perception.

Leftists are dangerous people, even to their own. It is like joining the KKK or the Mafia. As long as you stay inline you should be safe. But if you step a single foot out of bounds, then you are in for their fury.

Democrats and the media are trying to hide details about the homicide at the Utah "No Kings" protest. One of their volunteer "peacekeepers" may have wrongly assumed an armed radical leftist was a MAGA threat and fired rounds toward him, killing a bystander.

I have to wond3er why he was carrying a  rifle in the first place. These are supposed to be "Peaceful Protests". Pointed downward or not, it is brandishing a weapon.

Just absolute madness. This is what "community policing" looks like. Where you have a bunch of far-left radical Antifa clowns shooting randomly into a crowd of people because somebody somewhere heard a rumor that there was a MAGA counter-protester.

Well, he's Samoan . . . Big target.

You clearly don't understand how fascists operate.

UPDATE
Dec 14, 2025
Prosecutors charge 'safety volunteer' who shot Utah 'No Kings' protester to death as victim's family reveals security group Armed Queers SLC involvement
Matthew Alder, the “safety volunteer," has been charged with manslaughter for killing Arthur Folasa Ah Loo.
Hayden Cunningham, The Post Millennial

Matthew Alder, the “safety volunteer” accused of fatally shooting a man during a “No Kings” protest in Salt Lake City, Utah, has been charged with manslaughter, according to Salt Lake County prosecutors.

Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill said earlier this month that Alder fired three shots while attempting to stop what he believed was a potential mass shooting. Gill said one shot struck a man who had been assembling an AR-15 style rifle near the crowd, while another inadvertently hit Arthur Folasa Ah Loo, who was participating in the protest. Gill said Alder was justified in using lethal force to stop the perceived threat, but argued that a third shot, which was fired over the heads of people at the protest, was reckless and criminal.

“In this case our argument is that the third bullet was reckless and, if it is reckless, it is manslaughter,” Gill said during a news conference.

Laura Ah Loo, the widow of the victim, spoke at a separate news conference where she praised the district attorney’s office for pursuing charges for the “negligent manslaughter” of her husband.

“For five months, there had not yet been any accountability for actions or clarity as to how such a horrific incident would be addressed, nor remorse from Matt Alder himself for taking Afa’s life from us and from the world,” she said. “Today’s charges represent a significant first step in the right direction and establish a precedent that I hope will lead to a safer environment at public gatherings in the future. No one else should have to go through what I have experienced in the future.” ...

...  The man who was seen assembling the rifle, Arturo Roberto Gamboa, was initially arrested on suspicion of murder and accused of creating the dangerous situation that led to Ah Loo’s death, police said at the time.

Gill said Gamboa would not be charged. In a letter explaining the decision, prosecutors noted there was not enough evidence to show Gamboa had broken any law even though his actions could “reasonably be perceived as alarming and irresponsible.”  ...

Half a year after a "No Kings" protester was shot dead in Salt Lake City, prosecutors have charged one of the leftist volunteer
"peacekeepers" with manslaughter. The suspect fired into the crowd after he mistook an armed Antifa radical for a MAGA threat.

Reminder: Law enforcement charged the *target* of the shooting, Arturo Gamboa, first. (He was shot and lived.) Police released his name, yet chose to ignore the actual shooter, Matt Alder, for all those months.

And also reminder: SLC Armed Queers was the group which infamously deleted their social media posts on the day of Charlie Kirk's assassination.
What today establishes is that trans groups in Utah have a history of obfuscating homicide investigations and covering for each other.
Now put two and two together.
