Trump Reverses Mass Migration: More People Leaving U.S. Than Arriving for First Time in 50 Years

The United States could be heading for a year of negative net migration under President Donald Trump as deportation efforts begin to show signs of a positive outcome.

According to various analysts and economists via a report from The Washington Post, more people are expected to leave the country than arrive.

Economists at two Washington think tanks expect President Donald Trump’s immigration policies to drive this reversal: from the near-total shutdown of the southern border to threats to international students and the loss of legal status for many new arrivals, according to a forthcoming paper.



A rise in deportations — the aim of recent workplace raids that triggered protests in Los Angeles and other cities — also plays a role.



A net outflow of immigrants could stoke inflation, a risk economists already expect from Trump’s tariff policies.

It also could renew the type of labor shortages the country experienced during the pandemic. Longer term, it could even have implications for fiscal policy, with fewer immigrants paying taxes and supporting entitlement programs such as Social Security, said one of the economists, Wendy Edelberg.

“For the year as a whole, we think it’s likely [immigration] will be negative,” Edelberg said. “It certainly would be the first time in more than 50 years.”

Part of the labor shortage during the pandemic came from requiring people to take experimental shots to keep a job. Those who would not were canned, and others did not have the skills or desire to be employed under those requirements.

Consider (depending on whose stats you use) between 15% and 20% of American adults did not get even one COVID jab, and many who refused were in Medical or other specialized professions, that had to contribute to the 'shortage'.

Last recession in FL, many self-deported because of lack of jobs, so I wouldn't be surprised if some self-deported.

To say that ILLEGALS do the jobs that Americans won't is not true.  What we've seen at least around here are contractors hiring ILLEGALS so that they can undercut other contractors when they bid jobs.  Using ILLEGALS eliminates the contractor having to pay payroll taxes, unemployment insurance and liability insurance on them.

Sure that raises the prices of labor, but I'd much rather pay the difference in cost for skilled labor, liability insurance and laborers who can communicate in English.

God forbid if we EVER allow an environment for increasing wages when we have been completely focused on creating a slave society.  Yeah, that's right, a slave society so that the USA can be a member of the GLOBAL COMMUNITY.  One world order crap!!!!!!!!!

And Trump supports that crap too with his intent to increase the H1-b Visa recipients, displacing hundreds of thousands more white collar US citizens for folks from India, for the most part.

I don't care if labor cost goes up, inflation goes up, etc.  Until we return to treating our own people properly, this nation is dying economically.  I don't care how many lies they tell about how good everything is.  We manufacture almost nothing in the USA.  We are completely dependent on China for many critical products, starting with all our pharma.  And that was done intentionally.  We need to be smarter about what companies are permitted to produce in foreign countries for use in our country.

The numbers being deported are negligible.  He has to deport 8-10 million per year, not 500,000.  All the calamity by the Democommies is theater that is pointless, for the Trump Administration is not getting to the numbers they need to get to.  And I do not foresee that happening with the lawfare against the Trump Administration.  Too many corrupt judges to support blocking everything Trump & Co are attempting to do.  Just too many damn judges period.  Perhaps if we had fewer judges we would have less nonsense.  I say cut federal judges in half.  Too much time on their hands to focus on frivolous cases against the executive branch of government.
